It’s Alexander Vindman. Yesterday marked six years since my twin brother Eugene and I made the hardest decision of our lives.

On July 25, 2019, I was serving in the White House when I heard something that shook me to my core: President Trump abusing his power to pressure Ukraine — a nation under attack — to help him politically. I brought what I heard to my brother, Eugene, who was the senior ethics lawyer at the National Security Council.

We didn’t flinch. We reported it.

We did the right thing. And the consequences were immediate.

Trump retaliated. He fired us both. Our military careers ended overnight. The message was clear: If you tell the truth, you pay the price.

But Eugene never stopped fighting.

He ran for Congress to take that same courage and sense of duty to the halls of power. And now that he’s there — standing up to Trump and the MAGA extremists every day — they’re coming after him harder than ever.

He’s one of their top targets.

They want to rewrite history. They want to erase truth-tellers like Eugene. They want revenge.

That’s why I’m reaching out today — not just as Eugene’s twin brother, but as someone who’s been in the fight with him from the beginning.

Eugene bravely stood up to defend our democracy 6 years ago — no matter the cost. So today, I am asking you to stand up for him too. As one of the top people on Trump’s enemies list, he needs your support more than ever to stay in Congress and continue fighting for you.
