Friend,

Malnutrition is spreading at catastrophic rates among the children of Gaza, putting thousands of lives at risk.

Essential supplies, like food, fuel and safe water have dropped to critically low levels. Children in Gaza are dying in pursuit of their next meal, with horrific attacks on civilians lining up for aid.

Of the more than 113,000 children screened for malnutrition in June, nearly 6,000 were found to be acutely malnourished. July is already set to surpass this number, with 5,000 children admitted for treatment in only two weeks. In just the last 48 hours alone, at least four more children reportedly died of starvation. “These deaths are unconscionable — and could have been prevented,” Edouard Beigbeder, UNICEF Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, said on July 24.

If there has ever been a time to donate, it’s now. No child should have to worry that death by starvation could happen any day.
