![]() Republicans in Congress recently pushed through one of the most mean-spirited votes I've seen in years. They voted to slash every single dollar of federal funding for public broadcasting, including PBS and NPR. It's an enormous gut punch to a system that has educated, informed, and even saved lives across the country. If you grew up with Sesame Street, if a Ken Burns documentary has ever moved you, or if your local station helps you stay informed -- they just came for that. But this goes deeper. For many rural communities, PBS stations are a lifeline. They issue critical weather alerts and broadcast emergency instructions when seconds matter. Cutting this funding endangers lives. I'm not done fighting for public broadcasting, but I need your help. Will you chip in $10 or more today to help us take back the house in 2026 so we can restore funding for PBS and NPR?
Let's make sure the next generation still has access to the stories, science, and safety PBS provides. -Greg
