Republicans shut down the House early for five weeks to block a vote on the release of the Epstein Files. Their lack of transparency is yet another example of the Republican elite protecting the elite -- just like President Trump's $4.5 trillion in tax breaks to billionaires. I'll be in the Second District talking with constituents about the Big, Ugly Law and its devastating consequences on our healthcare, food assistance, and cost of living.

Apply to be a Team Kelly Intern

This summer, I hosted four interns in my Washington, DC, office and one intern in each of my District offices. I'm so grateful for their hard work, passion, and public service to our District.

Our interns receive hands-on training experience, from helping constituents to drafting bill recommendations. I am looking for Fall 2025 interns in my district offices and the Washington, DC, office. You can apply here by August 15.

Protect Public Education Funds

The Trump administration is illegally withholding $5.5 billion from school districts across the country, including $189 million from Illinois public schools. These are funds that were already promised by the federal government. 

Due to these frozen funds, class sizes will grow, teachers will be overworked and underpaid, and students' education will suffer. Our teachers, students, and parents deserve the resources and funds needed to build a brighter and better future for the next generation.
