This week, Mary Gay continued her fight for common-sense gun legislation and introduced her “Stopping the Fraudulent Sale of Firearms Act,” a bill aimed at addressing fraudulent activities related to firearms and ammunition sales. It proposes amendments to existing laws regarding the sale and distribution of firearms within the United States. Read more about what the bill proposes here.

Mary Gay visited Share Food Program Warehouse, a food bank in Holmes, PA. Share Food is Delco’s leading agency for state and federal food distribution, but due to Trump’s federal budget cuts, they’ve lost $8.5M in funding at a time when record numbers of people are losing SNAP benefits and coming to them for help. Last week, the GOP House approved an $831.5 billion defense spending bill that cuts 45,000 positions from the civilian workforce. Mary Gay and her Democratic colleagues opposed the measure. Read more about what Mary Gay and Dems opposed in this bill here.
