John,
Over the last few weeks, the news cycle has been consumed with the relationship between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.
But Trump’s letter to Epstein isn’t surprising. Trump is a creep.
Instead, we need to be laser-focused on the fact that he is using the judicial branch as his personal cover-up lawyers.
Right now, Emil Bove is being rushed through the confirmation process. The list of problems with his nomination is historic.
We see former judges — appointed by both Republicans and Democrats — coming forward and sounding the alarm about his behavior.
We have a whistleblower claiming that Emil Bove told Justice Department officials to “f**k” court orders.
We also know that he was one of the principal leaders of the Justice Department during their investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. He knows things. He has information.
But my Republican colleagues don’t want to listen to the evidence. They don’t want to listen to former judges and prosecutors.
And in the Judiciary Committee last week, the Republican majority did something I’ve never seen done before.
As Democrats stood up and demanded to be heard, we were silenced. Republicans cut off any debate or discussion, and they rammed through a vote.
What are they afraid of? Why don’t they want to hear the truth?
This is unacceptable. Emil Bove is up for a lifetime appointment. He knows things. He should come and testify. The American people deserve the truth.
