Eugene Vindman for Congress

John,

On this day, 6 years ago, Trump made the phone call that forever altered the lives of me and my twin brother.

On July 25, 2019, my brother, Alexander Vindman, listened as President Trump attempted to extort our ally, Ukraine, by withholding military aid unless President Zelenskyy investigated Joe Biden.

At the time, I was serving as the senior ethics official at the National Security Council in the White House. After Alex reported the call to me, my brother and I made the fateful decision to do our patriotic duty and stand up to Donald Trump at the risk of our decades-long military careers.

We blew the whistle on him and reported his corrupt phone call with Ukraine up the chain of command. Our actions eventually led to his impeachment, and Trump retaliated by firing us from our posts.

The decision to blow the whistle on Donald Trump cost my brother and me our military careers. But over two decades ago, I swore an oath to protect our country and our Constitution from threats, foreign and domestic, and I would not let Trump deter me from that duty.

I ran for Congress last year to fight back against Trump and the far-right Republicans who enable his abuse of power and attacks on our democracy.

I’ve done everything in my power to hold Trump and his MAGA cronies accountable — no matter the political cost — because I’ll never stop defending truth, democracy, and working Americans. But speaking out comes with consequences.

I’m already one of the GOP’s top targets in the House, and National Republicans have already dumped millions into ads smearing and attacking me. Republicans have made it clear that they’ll spare no resources in kicking me out of Congress, and it’s only going to get worse from here.

So today, on the 6th anniversary of the day that changed me and my brother’s lives, I am asking you to support my campaign so I can continue defending our democracy and fighting for you in Congress.

Can you please contribute $3 or whatever you can afford to my campaign for Congress today? Every dollar will help us fight against the MAGA extremists who will do anything to take our movement down.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly:

Six years ago, my life changed forever. I chose to defend our democracy, and today, I still live by that purpose. So every day, when I am fighting against extremism on the House floor, know that I could not have done it without you.

Thank you,

Eugene Vindman
