Donald Trump and Republicans’ “Big Ugly Bill” is officially law. In addition to cutting food assistance and giving billionaires the biggest tax cuts in our country’s history, this legislation also takes health care away from millions of Americans. And people like Mitch McConnell have the temerity to think the American people will simply “get over” losing their health care. 

Let me tell you: losing your health care is not something you just “get over.” It can devastate families, wipe out savings, and cost lives. That’s why I believe our work isn’t finished until everyone has the care they need to live healthy, secure lives.
