[[link removed]]John,

There is nothing that pisses me off more than seeing an elderly person – far beyond retirement age – hunched over and working a cash register at a corporate chain store, struggling to pay their bills.

Some seniors love working far into their golden years. It can be a great way to stay active and talk to people. But for far too many, they have to work long grueling hours just to be able to eat or pay rent. That’s not right, and it shouldn’t be normal in the wealthiest country in the world.

I’m running for the U.S. Senate against a literal billionaire – Republican Pete Ricketts – here in Nebraska, because I am sick and tired of working class people like me being taken advantage of and forced to work late into our 80’s just so the ruling class can buy yet another yacht.

Last year, I got 47% of the vote in one of the closest Senate races in the country. And the first poll shows me basically TIED with Republican Senator Pete Ricketts – 46% to 45% – for 2026.

I am ready to be the 51st vote in the Senate fighting for working people, but I’m not a billionaire. Nor do I do have corporate PACs writing me hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign checks like Pete Ricketts does. If I’m going to win and flip this seat, I am counting on grassroots donors like you to give right now:

Please, will you make a monthly donation right now to my campaign – whatever amount you can afford will go a long way – to help me defeat Republican Pete Ricketts and flip this Senate seat? [[link removed]]

We’re facing a critical fundraising deadline, so no amount is too small to make a difference.

We can stand up to the billionaires and the corporations and win this race – but we can only do it together.

Thank you,
