You know me as a U.S. Senator — but many of you were also on my team back when I was serving Virginia as its 70th Governor and 38th Lieutenant Governor. 

As this November’s elections draw nearer, I’m reflecting on what it takes to lead a Commonwealth as diverse and dynamic as ours — and how incredible our slate of statewide Democratic candidates are.

I learned so much during my time in Richmond serving in our state leadership — and it’s because of what I learned that I am so proud to be a strong endorser of Ghazala Hashmi for Virginia's next Lieutenant Governor.
