DEI is Dead at the State Bar of Wisconsin

The State Bar of Wisconsin has agreed to settle a federal lawsuit and remove harmful and discriminatory “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” or DEI, from its program.

The Bar also agreed to change its definition of diversity and will no longer consider race, religion, sex, or other characteristics when determining eligibility for its programs. With this settlement, racially divisive DEI has been effectively removed from all Bar programming by this final settlement.

WILL Deputy Counsel, Dan Lennington, stated, “For now, DEI is dead at the State Bar of Wisconsin. Race discrimination should play no role in the regulation or training of Wisconsin’s lawyers, and it no longer does. We will continue to monitor the Bar closely and challenge race-based programs wherever we find them.”

Nationally, the settlement made waves with the Wall Street Journal's Editorial Board and The Federalist applauding WILL for shutting down DEI at the State Bar. Wisconsin's WKOW also featured WILL in their coverage following the settlement.

The 2025 School Scorecard Dashboard is Here!

WILL is excited to announce the launch of our updated 2025 School Scorecard Dashboard. This revamped tool gives parents, taxpayers, and education stakeholders key insight into how Wisconsin school districts are truly performing.

The dashboard includes a host of new features. Users can now access an interactive map to easily compare their local district to neighboring areas on metrics like academic proficiency, graduation rates, and school district revenue. The dashboard also includes new data on enrollment by grade level to help you spot declining student populations and chronic absenteeism, a growing trend in Wisconsin that is linked to lower academic success.

WILL Research Director, Will Flanders, PhD, stated, “WILL’s School Scorecard Dashboard gives parents, taxpayers, and stakeholders key data on school district performance in areas such as finance, academic performance, absenteeism, and discipline. With this updated tool, Wisconsinites can hold districts accountable and make better informed decisions about education in their communities.”

Appleton Wedding Barn Event a Success!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on July 15 at Homestead Meadows in Appleton! We're grateful to have seen more than 70 freedom-loving Wisconsinites and talk about the future our state.

Throughout the night, the WILL team discussed a variety of important topics, including the new redistricting fight, Act 10, and strategies to counter the progressive agenda.
