Here’s what we know:
North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas are the states to watch this cycle.
In North Carolina, Republican Thom Tillis is retiring — and the competition for his seat is so hot that Cook Political Report just changed the state’s rating from “lean Republican” to “TOSS UP!”
In Georgia, incumbent Jon Ossoff has been proving for years that a Democratic south is effective –and the GOP is desperate to shut him down.
And in Texas, longtime GOP stalwart John Cornyn is out, giving Dems the chance to finally prove that years of investing in infrastructure to flip the state has paid off.
Here’s what we’re worried about:
Most likely to flip doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll flip in our favor — and we’re certain the GOP is about to launch an all-out assault on the progress we’ve made in turning the south purple already.
In fact, experts are calling Jon Ossoff one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the Senate. We’re going to have to fight like hell to keep his seat blue.
And in North Carolina, MAGA celebrities like Lara Trump might run to replace Thom Tillis, bringing with her Donald Trump’s dark-money machine to compete with.
Here’s what we need to do right now:
We need to shape the narrative and get boots on the ground in every one of these states before Republicans start emptying their coffers to silence our grassroots majority.
