Team, it's happening again.
Republicans in Congress have passed and President Trump signed into law a bill that would gut healthcare for more than 322,000 Virginians and put six of our rural hospitals at risk of closing, according to one estimate. All in order to put more money in the hands of the ultra-wealthy.
My opponent says Trump's tax bill "does so many great things."
And when asked about the $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, specifically, all Winsome Earle-Sears could offer was "don't panic."
Here's a clue: if you're standing behind a President, a party, and a policy that would deprive millions of healthcare and slash resources for public schools, you're on the wrong side.
Look, the extremism coming out of Washington has officially reached new heights. It's frightening and disheartening.
But how we respond is entirely within our control.
Thanks for standing with me,
Abigail Spanberger
