KDADS to Host Annual Budget Hearing for Stakeholders

KDADS will host its 2025 Stakeholder Budget Hearing  on Monday, Aug. 11 from 3-5 p.m. at the Sunflower Foundation in Topeka. There will be a virtual option, as well. Attendees will be provided the opportunity to present budget priorities and recommendations to KDADS leadership as it crafts the agency’s budget request for SFY 2027. Presenters may speak in person or present virtually. If you can’t attend either in person or virtually, you can submit written recommendations by Monday, August 4th, to Cara Sloan-Ramos <[email protected]> to be added to the record. 
 
Each presenter will have up to 5 minutes to speak and should RSVP to Leigh Keck <[email protected]> indicating if you plan to attend in person or virtually. If you wish to present testimony, please provide it to Cara Sloan-Ramos <[email protected]> by Monday, Aug. 4. All presenters – in person or virtual – are asked to submit a written copy of their comments to be added to the record and shared at the meeting.

KDHE Schedules Budget Input Meeting

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) invites stakeholders for a budget input meeting Thursday, Aug. 14, from 10am - Noon to prepare for the 2026 legislative session. In addition to attending the input meeting, stakeholders are also invited to submit written testimony to advocate for any budget items you would like to include in the FY2027 KDHE budget.
 
If you want to present your testimony in-person please indicate when you submit your written testimony, and you will receive additional details and instructions.

Your testimony should be no more than two pages and include:
· Amount requested
· Allocation information and supporting evidence
· While this meeting is focused on budget input, KDHE also asks for any information on 2026 legislative priorities.
