Delaware Online: Delaware's federal representatives come out against Trump-backed food stamp cuts
The recently-passed Republican tax bill doesn’t just hand out breaks to billionaires — it slashes funding for SNAP and threatens the food security of millions of Americans.
In Delaware, the effects will be devastating. Local food banks were already stretched thin after Trump froze funding to supply nearly one million meals to Delawareans, and now they face even deeper cuts.
That’s why Chris stood alongside the Delaware Congressional delegation at a local food bank to speak out against these cruel cuts. In Congress, Chris was proud to vote no on this bill, and now, he refuses to just let this legislation stand quietly.
No matter what happens in Washington, Chris will always stand up for our food banks and the programs that support working families. He’s calling out these cuts on the Senate floor and everywhere else he can.
Add your name today to stand with Chris and tell the GOP to stop attacking the food security of our country >> [link removed]
