This month, I spent two days traveling through seven counties in southwest Minnesota. It was part of my ninth tour of all 87 Minnesota counties.
I met with local election officials, voters, and community leaders. And I left those conversations feeling even more inspired, and even more committed to the work ahead.
The message I heard again and again: Minnesotans care deeply about protecting our freedom to vote. And they expect us to stand up when that freedom is threatened.
Right now, it is.
- From a dangerous federal court ruling that could gut the Voting Rights Act…
- To an executive order from the White House that could block millions of Americans from registering to vote…
- To bills like the SAVE Act that would deny eligible voters their rights…
