LEWISTON - The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting cyclical pavement resurfacing work on College Street and Pleasant Street in Lewiston starting Monday, August 11. The project area on College St begins at Vale Street and ends at Sabattus Street. The project area on Pleasant Street begins at East Avenue and ends at Avalon Street. Work is scheduled to be completed by September 10. Drivers may encounter a single lane of alternating traffic through the project area and should expect delays Monday through Friday between 6 A.M. to 6 P.M.. Parking stall closure notices will be set up the day before planned closures. This project will improve road conditions as well as improve drainage of roadway. The contractor on this project Glidden Excavating and Paving of Gorham, Maine. The contract amount is $857,732.00.
