The military just announced that they will withdraw 700 active-duty Marines from Los Angeles.

This is a clear win for the people of the city.

Angelenos are standing strong and united against the Trump administration’s egregious overreach, and our hard work is paying off.

First, we took Trump to court and sued this administration for their illegal ICE raids — and won.

Then, the administration announced the retreat of 2,000 National Guard troops from Los Angeles as a result of our pressure.

And now, after the retreat of the National Guard, the military troops will be withdrawn.

This is another sign of progress for Los Angeles, members of our community, and our servicemembers.
