Day after day, week after week, we continue to see headlines like this one:

The Israeli government is continuing to carry out a man-made famine in Gaza while shooting and killing starving men, women, and children desperately seeking food and other supplies.

Just yesterday, Israeli forces murdered at least 73 people waiting for aid. The UN estimates that around 900 Palestinians have been killed in the last few weeks while trying to access food for themselves and their families.

Until the United States steps up and issues consequences for Israel’s war crimes, this genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians will only grow worse.

The situation in Gaza is growing more dire by the day. Humanitarian groups like World Central Kitchen keep running out of food supplies to provide meals to hungry Palestinians and hospital workers, because the Israeli government refuses to lift its blockade of food, water, baby formula, and medical aid.

As a result, Palestinians are increasingly facing illness and death due to hunger and malnutrition; a UN agency recently reported that 1 in 10 children in Gaza is now malnourished.

Justice Democrats in Congress are leading the call for an arms embargo to stop this violence and starvation, but we need every Democrat in Congress to stand up against genocide.
