Farmers grow the food we put on our tables. In Wisconsin, our dairy farmers work hard on tight margins to make world-class products. Our farmers feed America, and Trump just pulled the rug right out from underneath them.

Trump claims to be a champion for farmers, but his reckless and unnecessary trade wars have farmers bracing for higher costs on everything from fertilizer to equipment. I’ve even heard from some farmers that the chaos is its own tariff.

This is just one of a long line of Trump’s broken promises. Farmers deserve better. Small businesses deserve better. Working people deserve better.

As this administration continues to shortchange the American people, I will continue to fight back to protect Wisconsinites and their livelihoods.
