Friend – Since day one of the second Trump administration, our message has been clear: no president is above the law. Just two days after this administration took office this year, ACLU-D.C. filed our first lawsuit – and we haven't stopped since. From the courts, in Congress, at the Wilson Building, and supporting those in the streets, we're fighting back to protect the rights and freedoms of everyone who calls D.C. home. Join us for our 2025 Annual Membership Meeting to hear how we're resisting injustice and reimagining a just and free District. This panel-style event will feature ACLU-D.C. legal and policy experts alongside community partners, including Ayuda and the Georgetown Center for Poverty and Inequality. We'll highlight ongoing litigation, policy advocacy, and key findings from an upcoming report on how D.C. can invest in more effective, community-centered approaches to public safety. The evening will be emceed by top radio personality Angie Ange, and we'll also introduce our new 2025 – 26 ACLU-D.C. Board Members.
Come for the conversation, stay for the community. Enjoy food, drinks, and a chance to connect with staff, partners, and fellow advocates – this moment needs you. In solidarity, ACLU of the District of Columbia |
