.The One Big, Beautiful Bill creates savings for Kansas families in wages, businesses, jobs and more. Specifically, over the next four years, the White House predicts that Kansas wages will increase by $3,400 to $6,100, accounting for inflation. In addition, 60,000 jobs in the Sunflower State will be protected because of the passage of the legislation. The No Tax on Overtime provision is expected to impact 27% of all workers in Kansas. Furthermore, tax relief for seniors will benefit 500,000 Kansas seniors, allowing them to keep more of their hard-earned money. I’m glad Republicans’ legislation will benefit the lives of the Kansans I represent.

.The One Big, Beautiful Bill’s renewal of 100% immediate expensing is a huge win for business aircraft manufacturing and the Air Capital of the World. A recent CNBC article predicts the Trump Tax Cuts included in the reconciliation bill will cause a surge in demand for business jets. Our legislation is promoting domestic manufacturing in the United States, and our tax provisions are benefitting Wichita’s aviation industry.

.The Small Business Administration is offering disaster loans for Kansans impacted by recent storms and flooding from June 3-7, 2025. While the disaster occurred primarily in Butler County, Chase, Cowley, Elk, Greenwood, Harvey, Marion, Sedgwick and Sumner Counties may have also been affected. Assistance can be received at the El Dorado disaster loan outreach center until close of business on Thursday, July 24, 2025. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently announced federal disaster assistance for the storms in Kansas from March 14-19, 2025. HUD is providing financial flexibility for homeowners who were affected by the disaster. More information about the assistance for Kansas residents can be found here.

.Recently Bryan Bedford was confirmed by the Senate to lead the Federal Aviation Administration. Administrator Bedford has worked in the aviation industry for more than 35 years. His extensive experience in aviation includes leading Republic Airways and other airlines, being awarded Airline Executive of the Year for three years, chairman of the Regional Airline Association and more. I’m looking forward to working with Administrator Bedford and Transportation Secretary Duffy on critical aviation modernization and safety.
