In a moment, I’m going to ask you to pitch in to my friend Mark Warner’s reelection campaign, [link removed] but first, I want to tell you why I’m asking.

I know that it’s a difficult time right now. Americans are reeling from the onslaught of punishing actions by President Trump and his cronies. That’s why one of the most important things we can do right now to hold Trump accountable is establish a stronger opposition that can fight back against this extreme administration.

That starts with reelecting Senator Warner, taking back the Senate, and disrupting the GOP trifecta.

This won’t be easy. Republicans have made Mark a target. They believe they can take back his seat and expand their majority in the Senate — which means Mark needs to be prepared for their billionaires to put up a $50 or $100 million superPAC against him.

If his campaign falls short of his July fundraising goal (or any goal over the next 16 months, for that matter), he won’t have the resources he needs to fight back, win, and hold this important seat for Democrats.

Honestly, I could think of a hundred more reasons it’s important we back Senator Warner. But honestly, the biggest reason is because I trust him to always have the best interests of all Americans at heart. Amidst all the chaos and corruption in Washington, he continues to lead the fight to stop Donald Trump’s dangerous agenda. He continues to stand up and speak out when the administration’s actions threaten your rights, your freedoms, or your bank accounts.
