Meeting with Members of the Illinois FFA

I enjoyed meeting with young leaders of the Illinois FFA in D.C. last week to discuss policies that will support them and the future of agriculture in Illinois.

I am committed to ensuring they have the resources they need to fuel innovation, be competitive in global markets, and continue to feed communities throughout our state.

The future of Illinois agriculture is in good hands with this dedicated group!

Investing in America's Security and Service Members

The U.S. must invest in our military to confront the generational threat posed by our foreign adversaries and deter further aggression.

I proudly voted for the Fiscal Year 2026 Defense Appropriations Act to deliver critical resources to our armed forces and maintain our strategic advantage.

Border Crossings at an All Time Low

Once again, border crossings are at record lows. The One Big Beautiful Bill only builds on this momentum!

House Republicans and President Trump are committed to supporting border patrol agents, stopping the flow of drugs, and protecting our communities.

Pro-Family Policies in the One Big Beautiful Bill

The One Big Beautiful Bill is one of the most pro-family pieces of legislation in history.

Congressional Republicans and the Trump Administration delivered the largest increase in take home pay and extended the child tax credit to support families across the 16th District and the country.

Protecting U.S. Interests in the Pacific

The CCP's relentless pursuit of expanding overseas military bases threatens U.S. national security and stability in the Pacific.

I'm proud to co-lead the bipartisan COUNTER Act to provide resources to combat the CCP's basing activities while protecting our regional interests.

Supporting Illinois Farmers

Agriculture is the number one industry in Illinois. As I travel throughout my district to meet with farmers and organizations like the Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois Corn Growers Association, and Illinois Soybean Association, it is clear that farmers in Illinois’ 16th Congressional District are some of the hardest-working people I have met.

Unfortunately, they are one of the most impacted groups by the uncertainty and economic downturn that occurred during the previous Administration’s watch. That’s why Republicans prioritized provisions to strengthen crop insurance, extend the 45z tax credit and, provide death tax relief in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Our farmers and producers deserve our support for their work to feed and fuel our communities, and the One Big Beautiful Bill delivers.

Republicans are Enforcing the Rule of Law

JB Pritzker’s solution to cover the $2.5 billion spent on illegal immigrants in our state?

Raise taxes on Illinoisans.

While he continues to double down on failed sanctuary state policies at the expense of Illinoisans’ tax dollars and safety, House Republicans are enforcing the rule of law and delivering historic tax cuts for working families.

One More Thing: Combatting the Fentanyl Crisis

Fentanyl continues to wreak havoc in communities across Illinois and the country, claiming thousands of lives each year.

I applaud President Trump's signing of the HALT Fentanyl Act to tackle this crisis. It is critical we keep the momentum going.
