As a doctor, I’m proud of the progress we’ve made in California to expand health care and move closer to universal coverage.

This bill will take health care away from more than two million Californians, cut billions from Medicaid, raise health care costs for working families, and force clinics and hospitals — especially in underserved areas — to close their doors. It will slash funding for food assistance, gut critical programs that help keep families afloat, and defund Planned Parenthood — creating barriers to accessing contraception, cancer screenings, and STI testing for millions of patients.

I’m fighting back in Congress — but I’d really appreciate your input so that I can focus our efforts where they’ll make the biggest difference for California families.
