Trump’s new budget just pumped billions of dollars into ICE. So how powerful is America’s Gestapo now?

Here’s the terrifying reality: ICE is now better funded than nearly every military on the planet. Only 15 countries spend more on their armed forces than we now spend on a single federal agency solely dedicated to terrorizing immigrant communities.

And we know exactly what this money will fund: More plainclothes officers kidnapping people off the streets. More homes, churches, workplaces, and community gathering places being racially targeted. More families ripped apart by Trump’s mass deportation agenda.

The only way to stop this harm is to ABOLISH ICE.

We don’t need a special enforcement agency charged with targeting undocumented immigrants – and we certainly don’t need to embolden them with billions of dollars, especially when poor and working-class people are struggling to make ends meet.

We must protect the 11 million undocumented immigrants in our country by fighting for a pathway to citizenship with dignity and justice.
