Brave and determined Special Olympics athletes like Esteban, pictured in this email, are the reason our worldwide inclusion movement exists. And last year, Esteban got the chance to do something big. REALLY big. 

Esteban has been playing soccer with Special Olympics Northern California for years. But this past summer, he was selected to play soccer in the Unified Sports All-Star Game – all the way in Columbus, Ohio – representing his hometown, his team, and his community. 

The week was jam-packed with exciting games, travel, new friendships, and a chance to play on the national stage. But the part that Esteban remembers most was looking up into the stands… and seeing his parents.

“Their unwavering support means the world to me. My mother and dad are my biggest heroes. Their love and sacrifices have shaped who I am today,” says Esteban.
