This impact report is introduced by our new Chief Executive, Ben Plowden. He says,

"When the new Government took office, we hit the ground running: our research and campaigning had an immediate impact.

We focused the Government’s attention on the importance of sustainable transport to delivering its ‘five missions’, improving people’s quality of life and increasing economic opportunities across the country.

Our influence is helping to make train ticketing fairer, change the way buses are funded, and improve bus stops. Thanks in part to our campaigns, taxes were increased on private jet travel and the rail network continues to grow...

Our work is far from over. Transport remains the greatest single source of carbon emissions – not helped by the new Government increasing rail fares while freezing fuel duty for drivers. Many communities still suffer from poor public transport. But with your help, we can change that and forge a better transport future."
