Last week, I was in Henrico County canvassing with May Nivar, who’s running to flip a critical House of Delegates seat for Democrats.
I lost count of the number of people who told me they’ve never been this fired up about Virginia’s elections.
Why?
Because they know our elections are our chance to give Trump his first report card – and after he’s skyrocketed our unemployment, fired thousands of our dedicated federal workers, and ripped away health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires, folks are ready to give him his grade.
We talked a lot about what’s at stake in 2026, too – about how important it is to take back the Senate majority for Democrats.
We talked about how winning this year and next means we can finally hold Trump – and his acolytes in Congress – accountable.
My point is, folks are fired up and ready to stop Trump and his allies from expanding their foothold of power in Virginia and Washington.
