Why do sustaining donors matter?

The amount we receive in donations each month varies drastically. Last year, for example, we received 25 times less funding in July than we did in December. This fluctuation makes it difficult to create accurate budgets and plan our long-term strategies. Sustaining donations increase our stability, which, in turn, increases our effectiveness.
