John, the Senate just granted Trump’s wish – and voted to officially GUT federal funding for NPR and PBS!
PBS President Paula Kerger has said these cuts will pose an “existential” threat for local stations – meaning they could be forced off the air, while others may have to cut programming.
Now, this rescissions package goes back to the House and could be PASSED AT ANY MINUTE.

Donald Trump and his closest allies like Marjorie Taylor Greene began an all-out assault on NPR and PBS – initiating investigations into these vital news organizations and even having their CEOs testify before Congress.
THEN
Donald Trump took direct aim at NPR and PBS – tweeting “REPUBLICANS MUST DEFUND AND TOTALLY DISASSOCIATE THEMSELVES FROM NPR & PBS” – he then signed an Executive Order to defund NPR and PBS.
NOW
The Senate just voted to officially strip NPR and PBS of more than HALF A BILLION DOLLARS a year in previously approved federal funds.
This is a critical moment: these cuts are one step closer to taking effect and destroying public broadcasting as we know it – so we need this team to help put the pressure on NOW.
