Reconciliation: Quick Reference Guide on Reconciliation Bill
President Trump has signed into law a budget “reconciliation” bill, passed by an extremely narrow margin in Congress, with major consequences for the health and well-being of millions of families. Below, find resources from PIF and partners, as well as an engagement opportunity to share your questions. Our new reference guide [[link removed]] provides an easy-to-read chart and timeline illustrating the major changes passed in this law affecting immigrants’ access to public benefits and economic supports. This is the fastest way to figure out what is in the law.

Toolkit: Disaster Recovery Eligibility Resources
Immigrant families are often left out of disaster recovery operations because of lack of language access, confusion about eligibility, and concerns about engagement with Department of Homeland Security staff. We have worked with partners to develop a disaster recovery toolkit, available in nine languages, providing an overview of recovery program eligibility and social media resources to share more information.

Communication: Identifying Effective Messaging on Health Cuts
In late June 2025, Community Catalyst and Wonder: Strategies for Good conducted a message test, aiming to identify the messages and messengers most effective at countering narratives that attempt to blame immigrants for rising healthcare costs and oppose healthcare access for immigrant families. A new summary document provides key insights highlighting what works to help develop effective communications and public dialogue.
