Hi John, it’s Colin Allred. I just launched my campaign for U.S. Senate here in Texas, I’d love to take just a moment to explain to you why I’m running again:

I’m running for Senate to fight for working families, not tax cuts for billionaires. I’ve heard and seen so much frustration about what’s going on in Washington right now. I know Texans are struggling, but Congress is more focused on cutting taxes for the wealthy than lowering prices for everyday families. That needs to change.

I’m running for Senate to give every kid in Texas and across America the opportunities that were given to me. I was raised by a single mom who often worked two jobs to make ends meet, and I’ve gone on to play in the NFL, graduate law school, work for President Obama, and make it to Congress.

And I’m running for Senate because we have a real shot to win in Texas – in fact, the first two polls in this race show me already in the lead!

But if we're going to win, we need to build on the historic grassroots movement we created last year. And that means I need you on this team from the very start – early momentum can make or break our campaign.
