EARTHJUSTICE | BECAUSE THE EARTH NEEDS A GOOD LAWYER
Last chance until the end of the year: $2:$1 Match
Dear Friend,
The Trump administration just announced their plans to gut the Roadless Rule, a regulation adopted in 2001 to protect 58 million acres of America's national forests from industrial logging and other sources of extractive harm. If they succeed, the consequences for our forests — including mature and old-growth forests — could be dire.
But here’s the good news: In 25 years, Earthjustice’s attorneys have never once lost a lawsuit on the Roadless Rule — and we don’t intend to end that streak anytime soon.
Earthjustice has won lawsuit after lawsuit to defend the Roadless Rule from the timber industry and its allies. In every case, we represented our clients free of charge — just like we always do.
Your support is what allows Earthjustice lawyers like me to go to work every day and protect the planet we love. Today is your last day to have your donation tripled by our $2:$1 match. Help us protect our forests, the wild places we love, and our future on Planet Earth.

What’s happening:
Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins announced that the Trump administration intends to rescind the Roadless Rule, the most important land and forest protection measure in generations.
This move is the administration’s latest effort to sell off our public lands and waters to the highest bidder.
Why it matters:
The Roadless Rule protects roadless areas in National Forests from new roadbuilding, which makes it impossible for logging companies to clearcut those areas.
That’s why the timber industry has tried to destroy this rule over and over.
What Earthjustice is doing:
Earthjustice has defended the roadless rule from the timber industry and its political allies in numerous court cases, winning every time.
If the Trump administration follows through on their promise to eliminate the Roadless Rule, we'll see them in court.
What you can do to help:
First, stay engaged. When opportunities arise for public comment and advocacy, we will send them your way. Stay tuned.
Second, please support our legal work. In every case, we represent our clients free of charge. That means your donations fund our lawsuits to protect the Roadless Rule and countless other critical environmental protections that are now under threat from the Trump administration.
Why now:
Today is the last day of our $2:$1 match — we won’t have another until the end of the year. What you give today will help us scale up to face the attacks of the Trump administration in the year ahead.
Donate today to protect our communities, defend the wild spaces we love, and fight for our future on Planet Earth.
