If there is one thing Coloradans hold close to our hearts, it’s our public lands. Our lands have incredible cultural, economic, and recreational value that people across the world travel to experience for themselves.

Michael Bennet knows this and, for years, has been a leading advocate for protecting and preserving our public lands:

🌎 Most recently, Michael helped kill Senator Mike Lee's provision in Trump’s horrendous bill that would’ve allowed 3.3 million acres of public lands, including in Colorado, to be sold to fossil fuel companies and real estate developers.

🌎 From Chimney Rock, to Brown’s Canyon, to Camp Amache, Michael's helped protect hundreds of thousands of acres of precious lands, including over 53,000 acres within the Camp Hale-Continental Divide National Monument.

🌎 Alongside Senator John Hickenlooper, Michael reintroduced the Dolores River National Conservation Area and Special Management Area Act, which would protect an additional 68,000 acres in Southwestern Colorado. They also teamed up to write the GORP Act to protect over 730,000 acres in and around the Gunnison River Basin.

Michael has a record of fighting for our state and succeeding—a record he’s ready to bring to the Governor’s office.
