I’ve been around politics a long time — and I’ve seen a lot. But I’ll tell you one thing: I’ve never seen anything as destructive as the bill Republicans just passed.

Republicans just voted to rip away health care from working families, slash food assistance for kids, and they did it all with a big smile on their face — just to hand more tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.

I’ve seen budget fights and I’ve seen ugly politics, but I’ve never seen something this openly cruel.

Gabe Vasquez is the opposite of that kind of politics. He’s a public servant in the truest sense — someone who listens to his community, fights for what’s right, and never forgets who he’s working for.

We need leaders like him leading the fight right now.
