John, tomorrow is a big day.
NCOA and other aging organizations are rallying people across the country for something positive... and you're invited!
Celebrating the Older Americans Act
One law has quietly fueled the aging services that millions of older adults and caregivers depend on for home-delivered meals, job training and employment opportunities, home- and community-based care, protection from abuse and fraud, and much more. [[link removed]]
It’s called the Older Americans Act (OAA) [[link removed]] , and it turns 60 years old tomorrow.
Learn more about the OAA

The OAA gives states tremendous flexibility in how they use its funding. The law stays out of the spotlight, allowing the volunteers and staff at community-based organizations delivering services to build trust with older adults.
Make July 14 a Day of Action
That seamless support is a thing of beauty, but makes it hard for the OAA to get the political attention it deserves. Not many people receiving services—or even the professionals providing them—know that the OAA is making that support possible behind the scenes. And right now, the OAA is facing big threats.
Based on the administration’s budget request [[link removed]] and what we’ve heard on Capitol Hill, the budget negotiations happening this summer will feature huge cuts to the OAA…unless you use your voice.
We're in This Together
We meant what we said about keeping this positive. We’re inviting you to join this effort because we’re all aging , and we all want strong support ready and waiting if we need it.
So, let’s build that certainty together . Take action with us tomorrow, July 14! It's a quick and easy way to feel good about being part of something big.
