measures to take against the Israeli government, or possibly nothing at
all -- unless we keep up the pressure from every corner of the world.

In just the past 1 month, 550 people have been killed by Israeli forces at
aid distribution sites in Gaza. 

It feels like there is no end in sight to the nightmare in Gaza, but next
week we have our best chance to finally hold the Israeli government to
account. 

On July 15, EU foreign ministers will be given a menu of different
measures to take against the Israeli government. They could take the
strongest measure which is what we have been calling for: suspending the
EU-Israel Association Agreement. 

Or they could kick the can down the road, as they have been – ignoring the
will of people across Europe who overwhelmingly favor strong action
against Israel. 

Each foreign ministry is deciding how to vote next week and pressure from
every corner of the world will help ensure they stand with humanity
instead of war criminals like Benjamin Netanyahu. 

This is a make or break moment.

For months we have been flooding foreign ministers with messages, running
public opinion polls, sending advocacy letters, organizing offline
actions, and ensuring video testimonies from inside Gaza reach key
decision-makers. 

All this pressure is working. Several weeks ago, the EU announced it would
finally review its agreement with Israel, and to no one’s surprise, it
found that the Israeli government is indeed in breach of Article 2 of the
agreement which requires respect for human rights. 

Now EU foreign ministers must decide: continue this shameful
double-standard for the Israeli government, or finally suspend its
Association Agreement – as it has done for other governments that have
also committed grave human rights abuses.

We keep saying it can’t get worse than this in Gaza, yet every week we are
witnessing new unprecedented levels of cruelty and extermination. But we
are not giving up, and our community’s determination to help end this
nightmare is stronger than ever.
