Contact Your Senators to Urge Them to Cut Federal Spending

Now is the time to contact your Senators and encourage them to vote YES on the House-passed “rescissions” bill. This legislation, crafted by the White House, will rescind or claw back $9.4 billion in federal spending that was approved, but not spent, during the Biden Administration. DOGE brought this wasteful spending to light, and the bill must be sent to the President’s desk by July 18th for the cuts to take effect. But some Senators are dragging their feet – they need to hear from you TODAY!
Many of the cuts are to “woke” foreign aid programs funded by USAID. These grants push the “LGBTQIA” agenda and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies around the world.
Instead of securing our borders and bringing down the cost of high inflation, our federal government was spending tens of thousands of dollars to feed insect powder to children in Madagascar, sponsor drag shows in Ecuador, fund a transgender opera in Colombia, and pay for a musical to promote DEI in Ireland! The $6 billion President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) program, which was supposed to provide AIDS relief, has been funding abortions instead. These initiatives are an insult to taxpayers and an embarrassment to our nation.
For over 30 years, Eagle Forum has pushed for defunding the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. This is a government-funded media organization that shells out billions to National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting System (PBS) so they can push out liberal propaganda. Let them raise their own money!
The Recissions Act (H.R. 4) would significantly decrease or remove funding for these programs and more across the federal government. However, some Senators want to amend the House version of this bill to keep your money going to these unnecessary programs. They need to hear from you that you do not want these wasteful programs to continue to use taxpayer dollars.
