Hi team,
We have a big campaign update: A new Republican opponent has entered our race.
And while you’ve probably never heard of Will McBride, he’s trying to change that with his personal fortune.
He previously (and unsuccessfully) ran for the U.S. Senate in Florida, where he loaned his own campaign over $700,000.
When he considered running again in 2012, it was reported that he would be able to self-finance his run with $4 million.
Well, Will McBride must be new to Colorado, because here, our elections aren’t bought and sold—they’re earned vote by vote.
Which is precisely the work Michael is doing in this race. He’s reaching out, engaging with, and listening to the concerns of Coloradans. He’s traveling to all four corners of our state, connecting with voters, and telling them about his record of fighting for us—first as the Superintendent of Denver Public Schools, then as our U.S. Senator.
This race is about the people of Colorado, not the donors with the deepest pockets. Michael does not accept donations from corporations or corporate PACs. He needs your grassroots help to fight back against self-funded candidates and other Republicans who will try to push Trump's agenda here in Colorado.
While others rely on big bank accounts or big checks from corporate PACs to fund their campaigns, we rely on small-dollar donors like yourself. Friend, could you help power our campaign by chipping in $10 or $5 today?
