We are delighted to welcome a group of new organisations to the SAAF family. Contracts with all 32 organisations have been signed and the first grant installments are being made for work starting this month. Gender Rights in Tech (GRIT) - South Africa

GRIT - South Africa

GRIT plans to expand the dataset of its existing AI Chatbot (Zuzi) developed with and for survivors of gender-based violence. They will co-create a dataset on accessing safe abortion in South Africa and train the chatbot so that abortion seekers can access accurate and localised information when chatting to Zuzi.

HERA in North Macedonia will use SAAF funding to scale up access to medical abortion services for marginalised women and those living in remote areas as part of efforts to advocate for the introduction of telemedicine and self-managed abortion in the country.

Resilience Action International (RAI) - Kenya

RAI - Kenya

Refugee-led organisation Resilience Action International will work to strengthen the community referral system for safe abortion in and around Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya.
