Day two of One Country Project’s Rural Progress Summit was jam-packed with interesting and informative discussions, covering building resilience in tribal communities, the attack on our public lands, the future of paid family and medical leave, the economic outlook in rural America, and more. We were lucky to have Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) join us to talk about her bill, the More Paid Leave for More Americans Act, and working on bipartisan legislation in hyper partisan times. Additionally, Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM) made an appearance where he discussed the threat to public lands and the importance of these lands to American society.
From the team at One Country Project, thank you to all the panelists, moderators, and attendees for participating in another wonderful summit day and sparking conversations that truly matter. We hope everyone left today’s event with a sense of optimism about the future of rural America and learned something new or interesting. We’re looking forward to our final day of programming tomorrow. Please see below for the day three summit schedule. Be sure to tune in [[link removed]] and hear from panelists and speakers, including Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ). See you there!
