The first day of One Country Project's Rural Progress Summit included insightful conversations on the ongoing trade war, challenges with navigating the Farm Bill, rural health care, and the attack on public education across our country. Notably, former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg joined the summit for a special conversation with former Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND). He discussed the current political landscape, reinforced the importance of having serious and respectful conversations in our communities, and shared his wisdom on what we can do to pave the way for a brighter future in rural America and beyond moving forward.
One Country Project is grateful to all the panelists and moderators who shared such valuable and genuine insights on some of the most pressing issues facing rural America today.
We're looking forward to two more days of engaging programming. Please see below for the day two summit schedule. You can tune in here. See you there!
