John — Republican Senators quietly tried to sneak a plan into their budget bill that would’ve sold off millions of acres of public land.

It would’ve been one of the biggest public land sell-offs in modern history — handing huge parts of the West to private developers, threatening clean water, wildlife, and outdoor access for millions of people.

We stopped them this time. But let’s be clear: they’re going to keep trying.

Again and again, Republicans look for ways to bend the rules — not to help working families, but to help their rich friends and big donors.

Here in New Mexico, our public lands are part of who we are. From the high deserts to the pine-covered mountains, these places are home to our stories, our communities, and our way of life. They’re not for sale — not now, not ever.

If we want to stop these attacks for good, we need to flip the House in 2026. That’s the only way to hold the line and protect what’s ours.
