First Liberty
When we argue a case before the U.S. Supreme Court, we do so with the
understanding that we have an opportunity to not only defend the
rights of our client, but to also impact the rights of all Americans
to live out their faith.
In our four precedent-setting Supreme Court victories, the
justices' ruling:
* Preserved the Bladensburg Peace Cross and protected all
established veterans memorials.
* Allowed Coach Kennedy to pray after high school football games
and gave all government employees the right to express their
faith while on the job.
* Defended Gerald Groff's right to a meaningful religious
accommodation and required all employers to carefully consider
all religious accommodation requests.
* Affirmed a religious family's right to participate in a
Maine school funding program and ended exclusion from any
government funding programs for religious reasons.
Now we have a new opportunity to further protect religious freedom for
all Americans.
This past Thursday, the Supreme Court announced that it will hear oral
argument in our Gabriel Olivier case. This is the first case taken in
decades by the Supreme Court about sharing
one's faith in public.
In Olivier v City of Brandon, Mississippi, we are asking the justices
to decide if the government can criminalize someone's speech and
deny them the opportunity to have their case heard in a court of law.
Watch First Liberty's Nate Kellum discuss what's
constitutionally at stake in this case and how it could impact
your right to have your day in court.

The City of Brandon used an ordinance to prohibit Gabriel from
peacefully sharing his faith on a sidewalk in a public park. This
violated his First Amendment right to free speech.
And when he challenged the law in district court, the court dismissed
his constitutional claim without even considering its merits, denying
him his right to have his day in court.
Every American has the First Amendment right to free speech; and every
American has a right to their day in court.
Both of these rights were denied to Gabriel Olivier.
Now, the Supreme Court will decide if Gabriel will have his day in
court.
We are extremely thankful for both the opportunity to fight for these
rights at the Supreme Court and for your support as we begin our
preparations to argue this case.
But to make the best argument before the Court, I need your help to
make sure our expert legal team has the resources needed to fight and
win.
That's why I'm asking you, for your prayers and financial support. Your best
gift today will make a difference in this fight for faith.
Together, we can win another huge victory for religious freedom that
could impact all Americans for generations to come.
Will you make sure every American's rights to free speech and to
have their day in court are protected?
Yes, I'll make a gift today >>
