Hi folks,
Last week, President Trump signed his so-called “big, beautiful bill” into law.
With this bill, the Republican Party has thrown American workers and families under the bus again to hand out billions of dollars in tax breaks to their ultra-wealthy donors.
This bill includes massive cuts to food aid and health insurance—including the most significant cuts to Medicaid in its history. It will rip healthcare away from Coloradans, shutter rural hospitals and nursing homes, drive up our electricity costs, and force kids to go hungry. Nearly half a million Coloradans will be worse off because of it, and millions more will feel the negative impacts—all to give the wealthy another handout.
To top it off, Trump’s bill will add $3.3 trillion to our debt, which means increased borrowing costs and billions more in interest payments.
Let’s be clear about what’s happening here: Republicans are making the rich richer, the poor poorer, and jeopardizing our kids’ futures.
Truly shameful.
While our country will have to deal with the fallout from this bill, here in Colorado, Michael is determined to lead the way to a better and brighter future.
It’s precisely why he’s running for governor. In office, he will prioritize our working families by pushing for policies that lower the cost of housing and healthcare, modernize our education system, and protect our public lands.
He knows that during these tumultuous times, Coloradans have an opportunity to carve out a hopeful and optimistic future for our state and our country.
Michael believes that by working together here at home, we’ll be able to fight back against Trump’s White House and D.C.’s broken politics in a way that uplifts Colorado’s working families. Team, if you are with us in this campaign, pitch in whatever you can today. >>
