Dear Friend,

I’m still reeling from the outcome of the Third Reading vote 2 weeks ago. For
the first time ever, MPs voted in favour of giving terminally ill, mentally
competent adults the right to choose how and when they die.

Years of tireless campaigning, heartfelt letters, and courageous stories shared
have brought us to this point. This victory belongs to all of us – and
especially to those we’ve lost along the way who never got the choice they
deserved.

But the fight isn’t over yet. The Bill now moves to the House of Lords - and the road ahead is far from
certain. The Lords have the power to stall, amend or block the Bill entirely.

We cannot let that happen. That’s why I’m asking you to write to a Peer today.

Just like MPs, Peers respond to real stories and powerful arguments. Your voice
could be the one that makes a Peer think differently, or gives them the
confidence to speak out.

We know many Peers are open-minded - and some are already supportive. But they
need to hear directly from the people this law will affect most: people like you.

There are two main differences between writing to your MP and contacting Peers
to back law change:

1. Most Peers don’t have staff or official, monitored email addresses - that means we have to contact them the old-fashioned way, with a
handwritten or typed letter. But don’t worry, our easy-to-use, online tool will help you get started.

2. As Peers aren’t elected, you don’t have a Peer that represents you
specifically - so you can contact as many Peers as you like . Our online tool will suggest three at random, but if you want to you can
contact any that you wish, they all go to the same address.

Your message could make all the difference.

After all we’ve achieved together – this historic milestone in Parliament,
public support at record highs, and a movement more determined than ever – we
cannot afford to be complacent now.

This is our moment. Let’s make sure it counts.

With thanks and hope,

Sadie Kempner

P.S. Peers need to hear from people who believe in compassion, choice, and
dignity at the end of life. Take just a few minutes to write to a Peer today -
your voice could help secure this law for those who need it most.
