North Carolina Democrats Just Declared War on Israel and The Jewish CommunityWhat happens when progressive zealotry crosses the line into antisemitism? You get this.
The North Carolina Democratic Party just passed what may be the most disgraceful, antisemitic resolution in modern American politics. Every God-fearing, freedom-loving voter should take notice. Let me be blunt: this isn’t about criticizing Israeli policies. This is about demonizing the world’s only Jewish state, excusing terrorism, and denying Jewish people the right to defend themselves. Even more chilling? This resolution comes from the party of Governor Josh Stein, North Carolina’s first Jewish governor. His silence is a scandal in its own right. One former party official called it “a fundamental betrayal of Jewish values and American ideals.” Erasing October 7thOn October 7, 2023, Hamas invaded southern Israel and carried out one of the most barbaric massacres since the Holocaust. Over 1,200 men, women, and children were murdered. Babies were beheaded. Entire families were burned alive. Women were raped and dragged into Gaza as hostages. It’s worth remembering that one of the American hostages taken by Hamas on October 7th, Keith Siegel, is a North Carolinian. Siegel was kidnapped from Kibbutz Kfar Aza alongside his wife by Hamas terrorists and held in captivity for 49 agonizing days in Gaza. His harrowing ordeal is not just a distant foreign tragedy—it’s personal to our state. Yet the NC Democratic Party’s resolution fails even to mention the hostage crisis, let alone condemn the terrorist group responsible. Turning a blind eye to the suffering of one of our own is not just political negligence—it’s moral failure. There is not a single mention of Hamas’ atrocities. Not one. Just silence. If that doesn't chill you to the bone, it should. Evil thrives when good men stay silent. And the NC Democratic Party just chose silence. Blood Libel 2.0Instead, the resolution accuses Israel of committing “genocide,” which is a claim so grotesque, so morally inverted, it can only be described as a modern blood libel. This isn’t the language of human rights advocacy. It’s the language of medieval antisemitism, wrapped in activist buzzwords. As Jewish Insider reported, even Jewish Democrats within the party were “horrified” by the resolution. One former party official called it “a fundamental betrayal of Jewish values and American ideals.” A One-Sided Arms EmbargoAccording to Religion News Service, the resolution demands that the U.S. place an arms embargo on Israel. Let that sink in. Israel, the country defending itself from multiple genocidal terror groups, and Iran should be disarmed, they say. But there’s not one word about Iran, Hezbollah, or Hamas—all of whom fire rockets at civilians and call for Israel’s annihilation. This is moral insanity. You don’t ask the victims of terrorism to lay down their weapons while their enemies reload. Hamas Gets a PassThe resolution doesn’t even mention Hamas, not once. That’s not an accident. It’s part of a growing trend on the left: recasting terrorists as “resistance fighters,” while blaming Jews for their own suffering. Hamas is a designated terrorist organization whose charter openly calls for the extermination of Jews. Pretending otherwise isn’t progressive. It’s evil. Denying Jewish SovereigntyThis resolution isn’t about policy. It’s about delegitimization and hate. It undermines the very idea of a Jewish homeland. It treats Israel’s existence as the problem. That’s not a policy critique. That’s antisemitism, plain and simple. And let’s be clear: to evangelicals and Jews alike, the rebirth of Israel in 1948 wasn’t a geopolitical accident—it was a fulfillment of prophecy. To attack that miracle is to rebel against divine providence itself. Silencing Jewish VoicesAs Southern Jewish Life reported, Jewish Democrats begged the party not to pass this resolution. Rabbis wrote letters. Party members pleaded behind closed doors. And the party ignored them. It’s a knife in the back to Jews who believed the Democratic Party still had room for them. Where Is Josh Stein?Governor Josh Stein is a Jewish man. He is also the leader of the North Carolina Democratic Party. His silence on this resolution is as disappointing as it is revealing. Does he support the resolution? Is he afraid to oppose his radical base? Either way, his silence is complicity. When your own party embraces antisemitism, and you say nothing, you’re not neutral. You’re culpable. Evangelicals: This Is Your Fight, TooThis isn’t just about politics. This is about a moral compass. Christians and Jews are commanded in Genesis 12:3: “I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you.” God is not neutral when it comes to Israel. And neither should we be. To stand with Israel is to stand with truth, with freedom, and with God’s covenant. This resolution isn’t foreign policy. It’s moral rot. And it has no place in North Carolina. What You Can Do
