AbortionFinder is Now on TikTok

Reproductive rights are under attack, and censorship of abortion content is at an all-time high. Since the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, the need for trusted abortion info has surged. AbortionFinder.org has had over 12.7 million visits — 86% of them since the Dobbs decision three years ago.

Our work to connect people with AbortionFinder.org has never been more urgent. People are navigating a system built to obstruct, confuse, and delay. They deserve clarity, support, and real options, and we’ve joined TikTok to deliver just that. If our mission resonates with you, follow our new TikTok channel and spread the word to others that we’re pushing back against the wave of mis- and disinformation growing on social media.

“We Can’t Wait”: Lessons from the New Abortion Landscape

“We need to normalize conversations about abortion access, specifically in the Black community and in faith-based circles, where oftentimes these things are not centered.”

Power to Decide CEO, Dr. Raegan McDonald-Mosley, recently spoke to Anissa Durham of Word in Black, sharing three things she’s learned in the last three years that have helped her continue to feel empowered about her sexual and reproductive health.

Meet Our Staff

At Power to Decide, we’re committed to improving reproductive well-being for all. Fulfilling that mission takes a passionate team committed to providing trusted information, expanding access to quality services, and driving meaningful culture change. In a new blog post, Cat McKay, Senior Manager, Social Media, answers five questions about her work at Power to Decide and why she believes everyone deserves access to reproductive care.

Reproductive Health is LGBTQ+ Health

Attacks on abortion access and attacks on LGBTQ+ rights aren’t just happening at the same time, they’re part of the same coordinated effort to control our bodies, our choices, and our futures. In a new blog, we discuss the impact of abortion bans on LGBTQ+ folks as well as our work to support queer people’s access to respectful and responsive reproductive and sexual health care.

Repro in the News

Supreme Court Decision Likely to Lead to Millions More Without Contraceptive Care

On June 26, in a 6-3 decision in Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, the Supreme Court ruled that a Medicaid patient in South Carolina cannot sue to receive care at Planned Parenthood health centers—effectively barring Medicaid patients from getting care at Planned Parenthood in the state. The decision is an invitation to states that oppose Planned Parenthood to bar its health centers from the Medicaid program, leaving many people on Medicaid without a health center where they can get essential reproductive health care. Congress Passes H.R. 1 – A Bill That Steals Health Care from Millions to Fund Tax Cuts for the Wealthiest

On July 3, the House passed H.R. 1, 218-214, as amended by the Senate, and sent it to the President’s desk. The legislation cuts funding for safety net programs and increases tax cuts for those at the highest end of the income scale. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office estimates the bill will result in more than 12 million people losing their health care coverage. It also bans Medicaid funding from going to Planned Parenthood health centers for one year, which will force clinics across the country to close permanently. For more on the bill, please see our statement
