Right now, billions of individuals are born into a system that sees them as units of production rather than the complex, feeling beings they are. They are separated from their mothers, mutilated without pain relief, confined in spaces that deny their most basic instincts, and killed at a fraction of their natural lifespan – all to satisfy a taste preference we can easily live without.
We don’t fight for bigger cages. We fight for empty ones.
